On November 17, 2011 the Supreme Court of Canada ruled in the pay equity case involving current and former Canada Post employees who are/were members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) bargaining unit. The ruling directed Canada Post to pay eligible PSAC represented employees 50% of the wage gap in the CR2, CR3, CR4 and CR5 classifications from August 24, 1982 to June 2, 2002, that was found to exist by the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal.
